I should have read the reviews before buying this. There are NO CURES offered in this book. Glad it was not very expensive. Save your money and buy some LLysine or Valtrex.

I cant take seriously any publication that contains as many misspellings as this does. Also, contains nothing that cant be easily gotten with a quick Google search. Save your money...

Really lame. The author isn't even a doctor and uses poor English. Who is the guy on the front cover of the book? Looks like a real doctor. His diet suggestions conflict in part with researched considerations. Glad I only paid 99 cents for this book.

I saw this gorgeous cover and the synopsis and was really excited to request this book for Fall reading ... sadly I was disappointed and I could not finish it.If you don't know, Art Boss is actually a follow up novel to Piper Perish, another book by this author. I didn't realize this until I started writing this review and doing some more research, so that may have been the biggest and first flaw. I found the main character to be pretty flat, I didn't really click with her and I didn't feel the need to keep reading about her experiences. I also felt like I was missing a lot of information.Since I had no idea that this was a sequel, I didn't know about Piper or her artwork, so when the author jumps right in talking about art pieces she assumes that I know which ones she is talking about (I am guess that was in the first book), but I had no clue and immediately felt lost. I was thinking that it was being kept secretive for a reason, but then the character starts to reproduce them and then I got more information but the full one never came. I made it through a quarter of the book before I gave up, between the lack of information that I felt like I needed, and my lack of connection to the main character I just had to put it down.I was also feeling some strong anxiety about what was to come in the plot, and while that is normally a good thing for a book to do, since I was not enthralled with the book itself, I felt like I was riling myself up for nothing.I always feel bad about not finishing a book, but this one just was not for me, maybe if you have read Piper Perish and really enjoyed it this would be a good one for you, either way, I would suggest reading that book first so you have more context if you pick this one up.

Piper Perish has arrived in New York City from Houston a fresh-eyed budding artist under contract to a fashion designer and modern artist who wants her to create seven copies of a piece of her work he saw on the Internet. It has been a dream of hers to move to NYC and become the artist she knows she is destined to be. At first, the City is as entrancing as she dreamed it to be. Then her work for the artist begins in earnest and her own art takes a back seat to her duties as one of his assistants.This is Cagan’s second book. It’s an outstanding read. Piper Perish is a believable character who tells her story in the form of journal entries over the course of her first couple of months after her arrival in NYC. The writing is excellent and Piper is a believable character. This is a book for readers of any age.

Art Boss is a love letter to NYC. This book is definitely a continuation of the first book as it jumps right into the next journal entry of Piper Perish arriving in NYC. The first chapter references Enzo, Kit, and Piper's sister but without much backstory. The book is vibrant with art, being young, finding yourself and making a difference in the world. Piper makes great friends, has some ups and downs, and figures out a way to make a buck in order to stay in New York. I can see this becoming a trilogy.

The novel will appeal to millennials especially those interested in the New York City art world. A young woman (Piper) becomes an intern for a hot shot fashion designer. Her art will be a backdrop to his shows. As time passes she becomes discontented with her situation and decides to venture out on her own. Of course, there is a love interest and at times the book seems much more about her relationships than about her art. Not my cup of tea.

The idea of this book really appealed to me but I had a lot of issues getting into this story. I just couldn't connect with the characters or the plot. It could be a it's not you, its me thing with this story. I think a lot of people will really love it.

I loved Piper Perish and this book is a wonderful second trip into her head and world. The only other thing I want is to see Piper's art out in the real world. Kayla's descriptions of the pieces are so evocative, I want to see them for myself!

I loved this book! It's funny, sweet, and relatable to anyone who has ever been (or currently is) a teenager.

I didn’t want this book to end! I loved Piper’s enthusiasm and I felt like I was right there with her on artistic adventures. I think I loved Art Boss even more than the first book! ❤️

Es una de las obras fundamentales de la transición del pensamiento medieval (teocentrista) al renacentista (antropocentrista). Es considerada la obra maestra de la literatura italiana y una de las cumbres de la literatura universal.Dante Alighieri llamó sencillamente Commedia a su libro, pues, de acuerdo con el esquema clásico, no podía ser una tragedia, ya que su final es feliz. Cada una de sus partes, o cánticas (Infierno, Purgatorio y Paraíso), está dividida en cantos, cada parte consta de treinta y tres cantos, más el canto introductorio suman 100 cantos en total. Cada canto fue compuesto por estrofas de tres versos endecasílabos o terza rima, que se dice él mismo inventó (tercetos).El poema se ordena en función del simbolismo del número tres, que evoca la Trinidad Sagrada, el Padre, el Hijo y Espíritu Santo, el equilibrio y la estabilidad, y el triángulo, las tres proposiciones que componen el silogismo, se sumaba al cuatro, que representaba los cuatro elementos: Tierra, aire, fuego y agua, dando como resultado el número siete, como siete son los pecados capitales.Finalmente, el Infierno está dividido en nueve círculos, el Purgatorio en siete y el Paraíso queda formado por nueve esferas que giran como los planetas en torno al sol. Esta traduccion, fuera de los meritos del texto en si, una de las obras maestras de la literatura medieval/occidental/universal, agrada por la conservacion del estilo estructural rimado del autor. El Conde de Cheste, fuera quien fuese, hizo un trabajo digno del mas elevado elogio. Da gusto tener un texto asi, en castellano, si no equivalente al original, bien similar. Y algo mas, se comenta, antes de pasar a los primeros versos, algo util para tener en cuenta, es saber, que la obra tambien se puede ver como compendio de la cultura medieval, lo cual al lector le servira para estudiar una fase historica demasiado mitificada y mal comprendida.

Bastante complicado de leer para lo que estamos acostumbrados actualmente, sumamente densa y con referencias bastante complejas. Un clásico difícil de leer.
