I purchased this book because my husband and I were planning our very first cruise. It was definitely helpful! While some of the suggestions you find for free from online sites, this book explains the WHY behind the suggestions and for a first timer, this helped me make sense of what to take and cull through the many suggestions and hacks from multiple sources and decide on items we actually needed. They also provided links to be able to order items or download apps. Very helpful! Some of the hacks were repeated in multiple sections but oh well. This book had some great travel hacks even if you're not cruising. Definitely worth the read.
I've watched tons of videos getting ready for my first cruise. This hits most all the tips I've seen in the videos, plus some I had yet to see.Pros:*Short and quick tips. If your looking for entertainment or fluff look elsewhere.*Seems fairly comprehensive.*Easy to put down and pick up where you left off.*Doesn't take long to go through the whole book.*This is a cheap. I think I paid three bucks for it. Well worth the investment. And if you disagree...well, it was only $3.Cons: *Occasional the tips can be impractical. But they had to get to 201 somehow.*At times it felt like a long running commercial for Amazon. Chapter after chapter links you to Amazon products. Often these are the more expensive options. There is a "pro" to this though. Some of these products are great suggestions and it allows you to quickly shop for a cheaper version than what they linked.Quick Tip:Read this one on your smart phone. Then, when you see a tip you can't live without, just do a screenshot for easy review later or to keep a digital list.

This has some great ideas for booking, preparation and when on your cruise. The free resources and the coupons in here will save us at least $100... well worth the small cost of the book! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a cruise or those who already have one booked.

This book is well written. And did not repeat its self throughout. The information was short &sweet yet very useful.
This was a wealth of information and a quick read. Very helpful for first time cruisers. We were able to use several of the tips when planning our trip.
We have taken two cruises a d are taking a two week cruise. Many real good ideas. Well worth the read.
