BETTER THAN GPS !!aBout the product, I have used these very often quite a few years ago, no cell or GPS, i wanted to make sure when going to visit my son at a hospital, that I'm not familar with(area) I'm not crazy about GPS. I like to know for myself, as I'm driving what street is BEFORE the street, that I must make a turn, no surprises, or pass that turn. when I used these, I was in direct sales, & however,needed precise directions, these maps helped tremendisly, was not famiilar with the area. however ,hey were somewhat a littlebetter, years.ago, reason for 4, not 5 stars they do have good map details ,street names&what ever else is needed Years back, they had better Catgories &Counties maps , with tabs.but they STILL do the job. Now I must comment on the VENDOR:: Arrived earlier than the date promised, & described(used)condition accurately AND importantly: the packing was suburb , it held-up, the item was safe from the weather \& if any mishandling & , we've had much rain, unfortunately the shipper , left it outside, the packing held up from the elements, thank God, it would have been soaked, no worries ! Their title The "BEST and FASTEST BOOKS", very appropriate.They live up to there name !! Wonderful.
We're moving to Rockland County and I really appreciated the pages listing parks and points of interest. I also find the spiral book format much easier to manage than a traditional fold-out map. Why not 5 stars? Our new street, Cardean Place, is listed as Cardean Street. Not a huge deal but maps should be as accurate as possible.
i didnt realize this is from 1994. otherwise the book is fine, but some roads have changed around me.
Still the best, this atlas makes finding streets as simple as possible. Combined with the Hagstrom index, at the end of each county, you should have no trouble getting around the area. A magnifying glass is needed, though, when using any street atlas.
